Provide assistance to our servers and bartenders, while ensuring the highest level of customer experience.

$7.25 an hour

Requirements

  • TABC certified and Foodhandlers certificate (will provide certification training upon hire otherwise)
  • Availability to work at least 14-28 hours or 2-4 shifts/week.
  • Possess a background in or willingness to learn more about beer, wine, and spirits
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 35 pounds.

Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests.
  • Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Maintain clean service areas.
  • Monitor guest’s dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.
  • Properly prepare used dishware for our dishwasher
  • Prep and load bar dishwasher to ensure adequate glassware
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
Server

Summary

Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests. Each server’s primary objective is to treat guests like guests in their own home, ensuring they will want to return again and again.

Compensation

$3.00 per hour to start, plus tips
Tip pooling for daily tips

 

Requirements

  • TABC certified and Foodhandlers certificate (will provide certification training upon hire otherwise)
  • Availability to work at least 14-28 hours or 2-4 shifts/week.
  • Possess a background in or willingness to learn more about beer, wine, and spirits
  • Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.

Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests. Make all patrons feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
  • Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests; enter orders in our point-of-sale system
  • Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Maintain clean service areas.
  • Monitor guest’s dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
Retail

Summary

Provide customers with the best customer service possible through game knowledge, accurate inventory numbers, clean and organized shelving, and lending a hand to other store areas in need of assistance.

Compensation

Starting at $9.00 depending on game experience

 

Requirements

  • Interest in board games and the board gaming hobby
  • Great multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Friendly demeanor and good customer service skills
  • Eye for detail and ability to catch potential pricing issues
  • Ability to organize on the go
  • Can deliver time sensitive tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Motivated to find tasks in slow periods

Duties

  • Ring up purchases at the retail counter
  • Talk intelligently about upcoming events
  • Learn specific games for 
  • Answer phone calls and help customers in a friendly exuberant manner
  • Keep up to date with new game releases
  • Check in retail orders and sticker correctly to place on the shelves
  • Help customers in the retail area correctly identify games and explain basic playstyles
  • Take Special Orders and correctly input them into the spreadsheet
  • Take Table Reservations and correctly input them into the spreadsheet
  • Teach games to tables of customers and skim rules to give basic guidelines
