Indie RPG Night: Paranoia

There are dungeons, and there are dragons… and there are whole worlds beyond. Once a month, we search the tavern’s extensive role-playing game section for a system that we think needs more love, and bring it to life for a group of players! No need to bring anything but yourself (although your favorite dice are always welcome.)

This month, we’ll be playing Paranoia, a darkly humorous sci-fi game. You play as a Troubleshooter; your goal is to find trouble and shoot it. Your character is generated by both you and the person next to you; the combat system is largely based on bluffing; the Computer may assign you Treason Stars without warning. (Treason Stars are bad.)

You look worried, citizen. Relax! It’s still Paranoia. The year is still 214. You still have six clones and a laser pistol. The Computer is still your friend.
