Warhammer 40K rolls into town this July at Emerald Tavern with our Tank Shock: Renegade Foundries series! This exciting series of events combines all the best things we love about 40K from building, to painting, to battling it out for glory! We’ll be hosting a series of 3 events plus a Painting Competition! Can’t make it to one event? No worries! Feel free to join us for the rest of our Tank Shock series!
Engines of War (Build Day) – July 7th, 1:00 – 5:00 pm
Join us for the first step in the miniature process – the build! We’ll be supplying the glue, clippers, and files you need to make your model the best it can be. We may even have a few old sprues laying around to let you customize your tank in its best gruesome glory. New to model building? We’ll have our experienced staff on hand to help out! And of course like all of our events, no build day would be complete without the beverage of your choice (included with admission).
Armoured Escalation (Paint Day) – July 17th, 1:00 – 5:00 pm
Once your tank is assembled, it’s time to show your true colors – paint colors that is! We’ll supply the brushes, paints and expert advice you need to make your miniature stand out on the battlefield. New to painting? No problem, our staff will be on hand to suggest colors, painting techniques and help with inspiration. Looking at stepping up your miniature paint game? We’ll also be running demos of our elite Grex airbrush line. And of course, admission also includes the tasty beverage of your choice.
Mechanized Strike (Game Day) – July 24th, 1:00 – 5:00 pm.
Now that our tanks our assembled and decked out, they’re ready for battle! This multiplayer battle is a fun and casual way to enjoy the Warhammer 40K world. No need to have a full army, this is a laid back battle of tanks and vehicles.* We’ll be dividing participants into 2 teams to join together and duke it out! Casual play rules the day and no infantry will keep the action moving forward. The frosty beverage of your choice is included with admission. We’ll have special Tank Shock swag for all participants and door prizes of Games Workshop products.
*Combat will be limited to tanks and vehicles or the large beast/vehicle included in a Start Collecting Kit prepared as part of the Tank Shock series at Emerald Tavern.
Tank Parade (Paint Competition) – July 24th – 25th
Bring your Tank Shock entries to Game Day and enter in our Paint Competition. We’ll announce the winners during July’s Painting With A Pint event! First and second place winners will win selected Warhammer 40K products.
How To Enter:
1. Purchase any Warhammer 40000 “Start Collecting” Kit or Tank and get entry into all 4 Tank Shock events.
OR
2. Purchase a $25 ticket to the Tank Shock Series. If you’ve got an unpainted tank or vehicle sitting at home wanting for attention, then this is the perfect opportunity for you to get painting.
